Thursday July 13, 2017
10:00 AM

We eat differently in the summer. Foods seem lighter, brighter and fresher. All the fresh summer produce inspires creativity. People seem to turn on their oven less and pull out their salad spinner more frequently. Join Jill Kwasny, MS, RDN when she presents “Summer Food. Summer Fun.” Jill will provide meal planning tips for quick, easy and delicious summer dishes. Please RSVP to nutritionist@mccaffreys.com or call 215 750-7713 to reserve your spot at the Yardley Market at 10:00 am.

The event will be held in the bistro area and typically runs one hour. As always, we will have something healthfully delicious for our guests to sample to reinforce that good health and great taste go hand in hand.

McCaffreys Market, 635 Heacock Road, Yardley, PA.

Thursday July 13, 2017
7:30 PM

The Newtown Theatre will take face-to-face conversation to a new level during our second PechaKucha Night at 7:30 pm. PechaKucha (which means “chit-chat” in Japanese) is an informal, fast-paced, multiple-speaker event that has been held in more than 900 cities worldwide. During a PechaKucha Night, presenters abide by a few simple rules: choose a topic they’re passionate about, be prepared to speak in front of an audience, and limit the talk to 20 slides. The catch? Presenters only get 20 seconds to talk about each slide. That’s bad news for ramblers because the slides keep advancing—with or without the presenter! Admission is free; donations to the non-profit theatre are welcome.

The Newtown Theatre, 120 North State Street Newtown, PA.
